    • Job Description: Reporting to the Packaging & Warehouse Supervisor the incumbent is responsible for the physical aspects of shipping, receiving and warehousing at Seastar Chemicals Inc. The incumbent will also work within the Packaging Group preparing, filling, labelling and packaging Seastar products. DEPARTMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  Prepare and palletize goods for outbound shipments, ensure compliance with domestic and international dangerous goods packaging requirements.  Load and unload trailers.  Inspect and verify incoming goods against packing lists or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.  Enter purchase order receipts into Chempax C/S in an accurate and timely manner.  Follow-up, investigate and report/correct any discrepancies with purchase order receipts.  Ensure raw materials and finished goods are clearly identified, well-organized, and stored in the correct location.  Operate 5-tonne company truck to perform warehouse transfers.  Perform inventory counts.  Complete any required training on Chempax C/S, Seastar’s ERP system.  Maintain warehouse areas and equipment.  Provide back-up for other members of Packaging Group. PRODUCTIVITY:  Responsible for participating in achieving organization’s financial, operational and service targets.  Perform job responsibilities in a manner consistent with the company’s values.  Other activities as determined by the Packaging Supervisor.

  • Packaging Technician

    • Job Description: Reporting to the Packaging and Warehouse Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for bottle preparation, filling and packaging duties at Seastar Chemicals ULC. DEPARTMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES  Follow Seastar’s safety protocols.  Perform daily bottle preparation, filling and packaging functions.  Help to clean, set up and maintain filling, packaging and warehouse areas and equipment.  Submit accurate records of filling and packaging work performed to the Packaging Supervisor.  Familiarize yourself with and follow all procedures and SOPs related to the filling, packaging and warehousing functions at Seastar.  Participate in any required training on the proper use and care of filling, packaging and warehouse related equipment.  Provide coverage for other Packaging Technicians and Warehouse person when necessary. PRODUCTIVITY  Responsible for participating in achieving department’s operational and service targets.  Other activities as determined by the Packaging and Warehouse Supervisor.  Performs job responsibilities in a manner consistent with and supportive of the company’s values.  Performs other duties as assigned.
